Buying cannabis in bulk in South Africa

Bulk buying is only worth doing if two things hold true: the price per unit genuinely drops, and the product is identical to the retail pack. At Amazol, bulk lines are packed from the same graded batches we sell as singles, so a joint out of a 100-pack is the same joint you would get in a five-pack. The only thing that changes is what you pay per unit.

That makes bulk the most direct way to bring your cost down if you are buying for a private club, a shared household, an event, or simply stocking up for a month instead of a weekend.

What bulk pricing actually saves you

Most stores describe bulk as "better value" without showing the maths. Here is the per-unit position across our current bulk range, next to the smallest retail pack of the same product.

The largest saving in the range is on greenhouse pre-rolls, where a 100-pack works out roughly 37% cheaper per joint than the smallest retail pack. Disposable vapes are close behind. Prices in the grid above are always the live figures.

How the AA and AAA grades work

Every line in the Amazol range is graded before it is listed, and the grade is the single most useful thing to look at when you are comparing bulk options.

• AA is dependable everyday flower. Good structure, good burn, sensible price. This is what most bulk buyers choose when volume matters more than nuance.
• AAA is the top of the range. Denser, more aromatic, more carefully finished, and priced accordingly.

Alongside the grade you will see how the flower was grown. Greenhouse is the best value per gram. Organic indoor sits in the middle. Veganic indoor, grown in living soil, is the most expensive and the most consistent batch to batch. Our house range, Azishe, covers all three.

Which bulk format suits you

• 50g flower jars if you roll your own and want the lowest cost per gram.
• 50 and 100 pre-roll packs for clubs, events and anywhere prep time matters. No grinding, no rolling.
• 100 and 200 gummy packs for the most predictable dosing and the longest shelf life. Each bear is 10mg.
• Five-pack carts and disposables for the most discreet option, and the biggest per-unit drop on vapes.

Delivery, collection and payment

Free nationwide shipping applies to every order over R2000, which covers most bulk orders and many mid-sized ones. Below that threshold, Pudo economy delivery is R82 and takes three to five working days, and overnight courier is R160. Same-day delivery is available in Gauteng only, charged at Uber Package rates and dispatched from our Sandton or Maboneng pickup points. Curbside collection is also available at 239 Commissioner Street, Maboneng, Johannesburg — WhatsApp us to confirm before arriving.

Where this sits legally

Adults in South Africa may possess and use cannabis privately for personal purposes under the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act (2024). Amazol operates within that framework, verifies age at checkout and sells to adults aged 18 and over only. Quantity limits and what counts as private use are set by the Act rather than by us, so buyers remain responsible for staying within it.
